Yew Mountain Center

The Yew Mountain Center is a new experiential education non-profit in Pocahontas County offering family friendly learning weekends, field trips, and special events based on the rich ecology and culture of the area.
The 500 acre property has mature forests, spring-fed ponds, well-developed trails and a rustic lodge. 450 of the acres are maturing upland hardwood forest with several miles of trails. About 50 acres are in pasture, old fields and ponds. The closest pond to the lodge is great for swimming, fishing and canoeing.
Our lodge features a central great room with stone fireplace, a commercial kitchen, a dining/meeting room and six guest rooms, each with a private bath. There is a large deck on the eastern side of the building and a covered porch on the west. We also offer B&B style lodging as our schedule allows.
